Hometown Exteriors and their staff were very professional and helpful during the sales and construction process. Our home had the original 12 year old LP T-111 siding. We had Hometown replace it with the new Solid Core Insulated siding. Plus we had them add an additional rigid foam insulation board under the siding. These changes have drastically reduced both our cooling and heating costs.

We just wanted to write to you about our experience when we resided our home. Our home was built in 1993 with a defective siding product. We chose to reside our home with the Solid Core Insulated siding and with the Portsmouth shake style in the gables.

It is a wonderful product. It is easily cleaned with a garden hose, has resisted fading in the past few years, and is durable as well. We have also seen some savings in our heating and cooling bills due to the extra insulation provided by these products.

We definitely love the look of our home, as do our neighbors and friends. The compliments keep coming. We are very pleased with our choice of siding companies, and feel that the folks at Hometown Exteriors have helped us to beautify our home and investment. From the outside, our house looks almost new; it’s enough to make me think it might sometimes be possible to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

From the outset, the company was straightforward about what the work would entail and how it was to be done. Once agreed upon, the work was begun promptly and carried out diligently and conscientiously.

Jerry, who did the roofing, made sure we knew that the roof as originally sheeted was not structurally sound, and made arrangements with us to add the additional sheeting to make it structurally sound. The roof looks superb.

Mark, who did the siding, always answered our questions and helped us understand what was possible, considering that our house is almost 60 years old and consequently has some challenging design quirks. We’ve received numerous compliments from our neighbors.

We noticed even before the job was done that the house was cooler than it would have been without the new siding. We’re looking forward to seeing how much less heating oil we consume during the colder months.

Additionally, various little things were done for us that made us feel as though Hometown Exterior designs was really paying attention specifically to us and our needs, and not simply doing a job. More than once during the course of this work, I reflected how great it was to be coming home to a house that looked newer every day.

Several years ago I bought an older house. Among several improvements that I had to do was to eventually replace the old aluminum windows.

I chose Simonton due to several factors. One was the quality in the design and construction. The other was the lifetime warranty, including glass breakage and owner transfership.

The surprise came after the windows were installed. Outside noise I normally heard were suddenly gone. And inside comfort was better. No more cold drafts from my windows. We LOVE our new Simonton windows!

It has only been a couple f weeks since our new Simonton Windows were installed and we’ve already noticed an outstanding difference.

1. Our furnace used to kick on every 15 minutes or so. We have a timer on the thermostat and it comes on about 4:30 so the house is warm when we get home about 5:00. The house not only warms up faster, but stays warm longer. The furnace now kicks on only after about an hour. What an energy saver that’s going to be; which means $$$ saving on our heating bill.

2. We have noticed how much quieter our house is. Our Simontom windows have reduced the street noise we used to hear or the Jacuzzi pump running in the backyard outside our bedroom window.

The guys (Danny and Mike) that installed our Simonton windows were great.. We have a large stained glass window that is not an insulated window, but is on a rod in back of the window about 16 feet up. They understood our concern and took it down with care and put it back with no problem.

They left the yard, driveway, and house all cleaned up; they went to great lengths to make sure the windows were also clean.

We would highly recommend Simonton windows and Hometown Exterior Designs.

My new Simonton windows make it a lot brighter inside with the white frames, compared with the old aluminum windows. It is nice to have windows that don’t sweat, it was annoying to have condensation on the old window frames even when it wasn’t that cold out.

It was great to have all 12 windows replaced in one day. The new windows give the whole house a new look!

Recently, I had my windows replaced by Hometown Exterior Designs. Our 12 windows were replaced in only two days. We are happy with the service they gave us. I would highly recommend this company. At first we just wanted to get estimates on windows, but after talking to the representative from the company, we were sure that we wanted to get them replaced. The installation of new Simonton windows to our home was completed on May 22. The outside of the home looks wonderful! Several years ago, the front porch had been enclosed, leaving the house a featureless box. With the addition of the Bay Window, some character has been given to the home. The neighbors have been admiring the new look.

We have not yet received an energy bill since the installation, but we have had a few days of hot weather. The central air conditioning used to struggle in a futile attempt to keep the house comfortable. Now, the air conditioner cycles off while easily keeping the house at least fifteen degrees cooler than outside. This was the best money that I have spent in some time.
